Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of SHAPE Colorado, I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2018 Annual Convention.  This is the 87th time we have come together to share ideas.

Our SHAPE Colorado Convention is the premier state forum to present and discuss progress in physical education and health education. We offer high quality sessions including activity sessions, workshops, demonstrations, featuring both top national and local presenters. We know between our keynote speaker, Joey Feith (Founder of ThePhysicalEducator), awesome breakout sessions, innovative vendors and your interactions with your colleagues you will experience opportunities to engage as active participants.


The SHAPE  Colorado Board has worked extensively to assure your convention experience is a success. Board members will be here as attendees, facilitators and presenters. If you see one of us, please take a moment to say, “Hello!” We would love to meet you or reconnect with you and hear about your convention experiences.

Join Joey Feith, founder of ThePhysicalEducator.com, for a comprehensive look at standards-based instructional design in physical education! In this four-hour pre-conference session, we will explore how P.E. standards allow physical educators to unpack the massive concept of physical literacy. From there, we will learn how to align our instruction, assessment, activity design, and curriculum planning to standards in order to ensure that we are creating effective learning experiences for our students.
