On behalf of SHAPE Colorado, I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2018 Annual Convention.  This is the 87th time we have come together to share ideas.

Our SHAPE Colorado Convention is the premier state forum to present and discuss progress in physical education and health education. We offer high quality sessions including activity sessions, workshops, demonstrations, featuring both top national and local presenters. We know between our keynote speaker, Joey Feith (Founder of ThePhysicalEducator), awesome breakout sessions, innovative vendors and your interactions with your colleagues you will experience opportunities to engage as active participants.


The SHAPE  Colorado Board has worked extensively to assure your convention experience is a success. Board members will be here as attendees, facilitators and presenters. DANCEPL3Y KIDS for School Teachers-Express Training
Forget 5-6-7-8 or complicated choreography, this dance workshop is all about keeping moves simple so that all students can experience success as they claim their Bubble of Awesome and follow the 3 Rules of PLAY: Be Positive. Be Fun. Be Yourself. The Express DANCEPL3Y Kids Training is designed specifically for School Teachers who want to get students active with dance during the school day through brain breaks, classroom dances or as part of their dance unit in PE. During the 3-hour workshop, you will learn how to teach simple dances that use a combination of traditional formations and DANCEPL3Y’s interACTIVE teaching approach. Come practice positive coaching cues and dance choreography that’s specifically designed to develop physical literacy, fundamental movement skills, and interpersonal skills that foster positive social interactions. Following this Express Workshop, participants have the option of enrolling in Part 2 of the Online Training Course, in order to gain access to more dances, video tutorials, and to complete the DANCEPL3Y Kids Instructor Certification requirements.
